Outdoor Library Bench
I was asked to create an outdoor bench for the Cragsmoor Free Library. The bench is featured in a landscaping redo and is dedicated to two longstanding volunteers of the library. The bench has a concrete base and a top made from Ipe, a wood which has strong outdoor characteristics. Furthermore, the top is coated with an outdoor finish made by sikkens. I have had great success with the durability of their exterior finishes.
The Bench weighs close to 350 lbs and commands a nice spot in front of the library. The building was designed by artist Frederick Dellenbaugh and opened in 1925

ICFF 2010 Review
ICFF 2010 was a huge success for the display of my furniture. The reaction to my woven-cable dining table Helium was off the charts and I am very excited by the followup that I am currently involved in. Thanks to everyone who stopped by.
I showed an array of furniture all finished in jet black Mahogany.

Lavassa furniture at ICFF
I wanted to post some pictures of the pieces I will be exhibiting this weekend at ICFF. If you are in NYC the show is open to the trade Saturday the 15th through Monday the 17th. Tuesday the 18th is open to the public. ICFF is a great place to see cutting edge design from around the world.
My booth will feature:
The Helium dining table

The Axis bench

The Barossa wine rack

The Tangent liquor cabinet

And the Torus pedestal.

Back by popular demand…..
I am excited to announce the new Barossa wine rack. Barossa holds twelve bottles of your favorite wines in a modern sculptural display. I had many Barossa requests since discontinuing the original design a few years ago. The new Barossa has fresh new proportions and is taller and has a smaller footprint than the original.
Here are some images just back from my photographer.
