New Acrylic Divergence Table

Thursday, May 16th, 2013

I am very excited to announce that I have partnered with Plexi-Craft, the premier manufacturer of Acrylic furniture in NYC. Together we have developed a crystal clear version of my Divergence table.
The Acrylic is amazing. It is 2″ thick and has virtually no tint. The table has a commanding presence that is far from invisible. The way the Acrylic interacts with my hardware and components is a revelation. I am thrilled to have this as a new material to add to my language of furniture design.

Together we will be introducing the new Acrylic Divergence at their booth at the ICFF this weekend. You can stop by booth #2448 to get a glimpse of my new table in person.

I love this image. It has the feeling of an x-ray of one of my pieces and reminds me of the imagery of Duchamp’s “the large glass”. So cool.

ICFF 2010 Review

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

ICFF 2010 was a huge success for the display of my furniture. The reaction to my woven-cable dining table Helium was off the charts and I am very excited by the followup that I am currently involved in. Thanks to everyone who stopped by.

I showed an array of furniture all finished in jet black Mahogany.

ICFF Video with New England Home Magazine

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010
My furniture was featured in a video produced by New England Home Magazine. This was their wrap-up of the ICFF show in NYC. In the Video, Kyle Hoepner and I are talking about my Convergence Coffee table. Kyle particulary enjoys the illusion of the glass top and the usage of parallam. I have been making Parallam furniture for a couple of years. It is a engineered lumber made from Poplar, Spruce and Southern Yellow Pine.

If you want to skip ahead, my piece starts at 2:24 into the clip.
