Industrial Timberframe Table

A new complication for my work. The first piece in a series I am calling the Industrial Timberframe. This table introduces new joinery, greater mass, and a burst of color.

The 2.5″ thick top is assembled out of 4 separate pieces of wood and are connected with strong joinery out of machined aluminum. The legs pierce the timbers of the top and feature a textured and painted end. The ends of the timbers are also textured and painted with a alternating angle of texture.

The Base has an amalgam of flying angles which reference timberframes and gives the feeling of tree branches. Unexpected joinery attaches the knee braces to the 8 legs. A singular leg features an additional piece of wood sharing the texture and colors of the ends of the legs.

This is a bold new direction for me that already has numerous other pieces designed.
